Kate Munger ~ Founder and Creative DirectorInverness, California Since I was 8 years old, I have been holding this vision of singing in community. "All I ever wanted was this..." I am deeply honored and grateful that the remarkable group of friends forming this Board of Directors is joining me in the leadership of this unusual and beautiful organization to make sure that heartfelt and comforting singing continues to be available at bedsides and where it's needed long after I am gone. I am a singer/songwriter who lives with my family, singing, working, and swimming along the shores of Tomales Bay. I have led community singing for over 3 decades. In 2000, I founded the first Threshold Choir for those who are called to sing at the bedsides of people who are dying or in coma, children in hospital, and with women who are incarcerated. Today there are 100 choirs and 2000 singers in the U.S. These choirs bring together a magnificent community of huge-hearted, collaborating, creative singers who know that true service heals everyone. |

Heidi Dressler ~ Executive DirectorSonoma County, California I am delighted to be working with Threshold Choir! I bring more than 30 years' experience working with nonprofit organizations, primarily in the health and wellness fields (including 10 years with American Heart Association and five with Diabetes Society). I also have experience in public relations, advertising, and television production. As an experienced life and small-business coach, I have helped countless individuals and small businesses set, achieve, and exceed goals, striving always for the win-win and supporting their greatest good. I am also a health educator and personal chef. My son, Ben, lives in Hollywood and works in reality television production. He was raised here in Sonoma County, California, and I have lived here for more than 35 years. It's a wonderful climate change from the Midwest, where I grew up! I have always been surrounded with musicians, composers, and choral music, so I feel very much at home with Threshold Choir. I look forward to utilizing my many skills to help the organization grow and reach its greatest good. |
