Threshold Choir of New York City is made up of warm, lovely, vibrant women volunteers from all around New York City. Like the other Threshold Choirs, we honor the ancient tradition of singing softly at bedsides for people who are ill or dying. We currently bring this service to hospitals and hospices in the New York metropolitan area. There is also a group of singers in the Westchester area.
As members of Threshold Choir, we offer the gift of comforting and soothing songs at the most challenging stage of life, and we consider it to be an honor and a privilege to offer this gift of song.
We are led in rehearsal twice a month by our Music Director, Sue Ribaudo, on the Upper East Side of Manhattan - generally on the first and third Wednesday evenings of each month. At rehearsals, we practice our repertoire and also use this time to come together as a community and offer a supportive environment for each other.
