I wrote this song for my husband Richard’s mother, who was in hospice care (101 years old). She was afraid of where she was “going to go” when she died. She asked me about that on several occasions, so I wrote this song to be a comfort to her.
Lyrics
It’s the end of the day, and you’ve journeyed so far.
Your destination’s not in question, just follow the brightest star.
Loving arms await you to hold you tenderly,
So lay down all your troubles and sleep.
