Submitter Comments

This song was written at a time of increasing polarization and divisive rhetoric in this country and elsewhere, leading to increased anxiety and stress in just about everyone. I wrote this song as a prayer and as a balm for troubled times.

Lyrics

Let peace come when night falls.
Let stillness heal this day,
that all its strident sounds
may soon fade away.

Let rest find the weary heart
before the day breaks,
renewing our courage to start
again, and to face
this world with caring and grace.
