Love Come

I was on my way to a training at work one day, when I got a flat tire. Fixing the flat delayed me significantly enough that I had to reschedule my training. So I came home, and shortly thereafter got the news that my cousin’s baby had died. They had left him sleeping on a bed, and he had somehow scooched himself off the bed, and had fallen. His fall bent his neck and cut off his airway; they found him wedged between the bed and another piece of furniture. _______________ Having a flat tire, and the day unexpectedly free, now felt like a gift. I had time to sit with this news; to be with the shock and grief as they bloomed in my body. As I sat with it all, this is what came.

Lyrics
Oh, our hearts,
Oh, our hearts do ache,
Holding this grief, not understanding.
Oh, why?
Not understanding how this could be.
Oh, Love, come.
