Submitter Comments

A song calling for kindness for oneself. I have sometimes substituted the word “sacred” for “aching” and you are welcome to do that too. The word “tenderly” guides this song. Sing it tenderly, without a sharp “T.” Best when sung lightly vs dirge-like.

[2018.01.23—Helen substituted “sacred” for “aching” in the notation, though either can be used.]

Tenderly rain, petals of kindness
Over the sacred land of my soul.
Bathe me in streams of deep understanding.
Merciful waters carry me home.
