A friend, my husband’s chemotherapy buddy, was dying of cancer. She appeared to be quite concerned about her declining appearance and abilities. It occurred to me to write a song about how we remember someone after they have passed is not with tubes and bags, but how they were in the full vibrancy of life. I got to sing it for her the last time I saw her before she died.

Lyrics
Now is the time you’re unraveling
the tapestry of your life.
And when the last thread that binds you is free,
We will remember, we will remember,
The whole shining shimmering
essence of you.
