Triad Threshold Singers

Music is the mediator between the life of the senses and the life of the spirit. ~ Beethoven

Triad Threshold Singers of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is one of the newer choirs to join the Threshold Choir community, having been formed in 2016. We are a thriving group of passionate, heart-filled singers who endeavor to bring the healing power of music to those at varying stages of life, particularly near death — but also during loss, trauma, illness, birth, and commemorative celebration. New singers are welcome, and we actively seek opportunities to serve Forsyth County and the surrounding area.

What We Do

At the invitation of patients, family members, or caregivers, two or three members of our choir will sing quiet songs of comfort and peace to those who need support and strength. Our singing is especially well suited for hospice, palliative care, memory care, birthing centers, and remembrance celebrations. We also sing in private homes by request. Our aim is to bring companionship and compassion through music to some of life's most difficult moments, as well as to those moments that are worthy of celebrating with tenderness.

Anyone present is welcome to sing along or to simply listen. We do not charge for our services; our song is our gift to the community. We honor all spiritual paths and have no religious affiliation.

Join Us

Anyone who is interested in joining Triad Threshold Singers is encouraged to attend a rehearsal. We meet on the first and third Monday evenings of every month. No audition is necessary to become a member. We do ask that you are able to meet the following criteria:

  • Be able to sing a cappella. (Reading music is not necessary but is helpful.)
  • Know how to harmonize, blend your voice with others, and carry your part alone.
  • Be able to sing softly and communicate kindness with your voice.
  • Be able to communicate and respond via email or phone for practice reminders and singing invitations.
