SLO Threshold Singers
Who We Are
SLO Threshold Singers is a volunteer community of a cappella singers who offer a heartfelt service to those at the threshold of life and dying, as well as to individuals navigating illness.
When invited to a bedside, we sing in small groups of two to four singers. Our focus is not on performance or entertainment, but on creating an atmosphere of tranquillity as we hold space for the person who is ill or dying. Family members, loved ones, and caregivers are also included, if desired. Singing is a powerful way to connect with those facing challenging transitions, helping them feel a sense of comfort and peace.
We sing for patients in hospice care, at nursing and care facilities, and in private homes across San Luis Obispo, Avila Beach, Pismo Beach, Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach, Oceano, Los Osos, Morro Bay, Atascadero, Templeton, and Paso Robles, California. We also sing for community events like Overdose Awareness, Hospice SLO County’s Light Up a Life, and individual celebration of life ceremonies.
Our songs are offered as a gift; there is no charge.
