The San Fernando Valley Threshold Choir is an eclectic and diverse group of singers harnessing the power of music to provide comfort and kindness at bedside for the ill and those at the end of life. Established in 2025, we are thrilled to provide this free service to the San Fernando Valley.

WHERE WE SING: We are available to sing at hospitals, hospices, and homes throughout Los Angeles County and the San Fernando Valley region. We are in close contact with our neighbors in Westside Threshold Choir and will be happy to connect you with them, if their services are more geographically appropriate. We may also be available to sing at services of remembrance and community events, upon request.

SINGING WITH US: We welcome singers of all backgrounds who wish to serve the mission of Threshold Choir and have the ability to blend their voices with ours. You do not have to audition or be able to read music to join. We currently rehearse on a weekly basis in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood. While we don’t require a commitment to attend every rehearsal, we do ask members to attend the majority of them as we learn the Threshold Choir repertoire.

CONTACT US: If you would like to join our chapter or request our bedside presence, please contact Chapter leader Gerry Farrell via email at [email protected] or text/call 818-517-2986.

“Be safe, my love
Be well my dear one
Live in joy and peace, my sweet friend
For we are here
We are awakened
Fear no more, and take your rest.”
