Diablo Valley Threshold Singers
Who We Are
The Diablo Valley Threshold Singers bring comfort through song to those at or near the end of life. We sing at bedsides in groups of two to four for hospice, hospital, and homecare patients. When invited by family, friends, clergy, caregivers, or medical professionals, we offer soft, restful songs in short sessions designed to comfort and support. Through this gentle music, we seek to create an oasis of peace at a challenging time. We honor all spiritual paths and have no religious affiliation.
We serve clients from Concord to San Ramon, and from Orinda to Walnut Creek, California.
Our voices are our gift; there is no charge. However, for those families who care to make a donation to our ongoing work, the Threshold Choir is a 501(c)3 organization.
Singing With Us
We welcome new members of all ages and traditions who feel drawn to this work. There is no audition for the choir. We ask that you be able to hold a melody or harmony part on pitch, to blend your voice with others, and to have an interest in our service work.
Rehearsals are key to our ongoing growth. We request that choir members attend two rehearsals a month. Our monthly schedule is as follows:
- First Tuesdays, 6:30- 7:30 p.m., on Zoom
- Second Saturdays, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at Rossmoor
- Third Thursdays, 6:30- 7:30 p.m., at Rossmoor
- Fourth Wednesdays, 1-2 p.m., Walnut Creek Manor
