Threshold Choir of New York City

Threshold Choir of New York City

Threshold Choir of New York City (TCNYC) is made up of warm, lovely, vibrant women volunteers from all around New York City. Like the other Threshold Choirs, we honor the ancient tradition of singing softly at bedsides for people  who are ill or dying. We currently bring this service to hospitals, hospices, and private homes in the New York metropolitan area. We also sing at memorial services and community gatherings throughout the year.

As members of Threshold Choir, we offer the gift of comforting and soothing songs at the most challenging stage of life, and we consider it to be an honor and a privilege to offer this gift of song. We recognize that individuals in need of song come from all walks of life and always offer our services free of charge.

We are led in rehearsal twice a month by our Music Directors on the Upper East Side of Manhattan — generally on the first and third Wednesday evenings of each month. At rehearsals, we practice our repertoire and also use this time to come together as a community and offer a supportive environment for each other.

Please see the tabs above for more information about the Threshold Choir organization. We welcome those interested to contact us at [email protected] for more information about TCNYC, to request our service, or to inquire about joining TCNYC.
