Philadelphia Threshold Singers
Philadelphia Threshold Singers is a community of a cappella singers offering songs of comfort, peace, and love for those at life’s thresholds. Established in 2012, we sing in groups of two to four at bedsides in private homes, hospice and long-term care facilities, hospitals, and other locations upon request.
We sing comforting, peaceful, and soothing songs selected from the extensive Threshold Choir repertoire, many of which were written by Threshold Choir members. The songs we sing are non-denominational, universal, and spiritual. Our focus is on connection, not perfection (or performance), and we strive to hold space for whatever thoughts, feelings, and spiritual yearnings arise for those for whom we sing.
We also provide Song Baths and collaborate with those who honor public and collective grief.
This gift of song offered by the Philadelphia Threshold Singers is voluntary and free of charge, although donations are gratefully accepted.
We rehearse on the second, fourth, and fifth Wednesday of the month in Northwest Philadelphia. We welcome new singers.
