Placerville Threshold Singers
Honoring an ancient tradition, the Placerville Threshold Singers are a choir of women who sing to those facing a threshold of life — a significant challenge, grief, serious illness, or the end of life. With gentle voices and songs with simple messages of love and kindness, we seek to honor, comfort, and support those at a threshold of life, their families, and their caregivers.
We sing for those in the greater Placerville, California area at hospice bedsides, senior care facilities, and at Marshall Hospital. Bedside sings with three to four singers may be requested. During the coronavirus pandemic, however, our singing is only available by phone. We honor all spiritual paths and have no religious affiliation. Our singing is a gift; there is no charge.
Singing With Us
We are currently welcoming new singers. There is no audition, but we ask that you be able to hold a melody or harmony part on pitch, listen to and blend with other voices, and convey compassion with your voice. Rehearsals take place every Thursday evening in Placerville. You are welcome to attend a rehearsal as a guest.
