The South Bay Threshold Choir is a new and growing chapter within the Threshold Choir community of singers in service to those at life’s thresholds.
Referrals: Our group is centered in the Almaden area (in the south-west part of San Jose, California) and is available to sing for individual clients in residences or facilities throughout the San Jose/Silicon Valley area, including Los Gatos, Campbell, Saratoga, Cupertino, South San Jose, and sometimes beyond. We’re open to requests from private sources as well as referrals from hospice service providers.
Rehearsals: We practice together every other Saturday morning from 10:00 AM to noon in a choir room in the Almaden area. The group meets year-round and welcomes new members on an ongoing basis. We practice singing gently and blending our voices in 3-part harmony, learning songs about love, peace, ease, and similar comforting themes, most written by other Threshold Choir singers for this purpose. Please have a look at the “How to Join” page (under the “Membership” menu above) to become familiar with our singing style and suggested skills. Each singer is supported by the group, while choosing her own pace and path, according to her needs, skills, and commitment.
Contact Us: If you would like to request singers to visit a friend or loved one, or if you are interested in joining our group as a singer and wish to visit a rehearsal, please contact us by email or call us at (650) 646-5782.
COVID Restrictions: As with most non-essential services, and singing in particular, our activities during this time are extremely limited. Please feel free to contact us for more information.
