Threshold Singers of the South Hills

If you live south of Pittsburgh, PA, enjoy singing, and believe that life's end offers the possibility of sacred moments, then consider a meaningful volunteer experience and attend one of our rehearsals. Through softly blended harmony and a calming presence, we offer comfort to hospice patients and loved ones gathered at the bedside.

Our goal is to support the mission of Family Hospice: "To provide compassionate, quality comfort care that enhances the lives of people with life-limiting illness and their families". Family Hospice, founded in 1980, is currently the largest hospice provider in Western Pennsylvania and is looking to expand this new volunteer program.

If you like to sing and can carry a tune, with practice you can learn to hold a simple harmony. Come and check us out! Our group of women is welcoming and fun. We rehearse at the Mt. Lebanon Library every second Wednesday of the month from 1 to 3 p.m. and at Family Hospice's Center for Compassionate Care in Mt. Lebanon every fourth Tuesday of the month from 7 to 9 p.m. To visit a rehearsal or for further information, please contact Nick Petti, Family Hospice Volunteer Coordinator, at (412) 572-8806, or send an email to Threshold Singers of the South Hills.
