Warrnambool Threshold Singers

Who We Are
Warrnambool Threshold singers are a volunteer choir who sing for people who are seriously ill or dying, and for their loved ones. Our singing is not intended as entertainment, rather as calming, gentle songs, to simply be received. We aim to offer a comforting voice to everyone who requests it.
Where We Sing
We sing in private homes, palliative care facilities, general hospitals, nursing homes and retirement villages in Warrnambool VIC. When invited, a small group of singers will visit the bedside to sing in gentle a cappella voices. Our songs include lullabies, hymns, spirituals and choral music carefully chosen to soothe and comfort. A bedside singing session usually lasts about 20 minutes. Our service is a gift – there is no charge.
How to Join WTS
Our group gathers regularly to learn new songs and rehearse repertoire in a friendly and caring atmosphere. We welcome singers from all backgrounds, cultures and beliefs.
Rehearsals are held on the first and third Thursday of the month, 5 to 6.15 pm at the Hammond Centre, Christ Church, 226 Koroit St. in Warrnambool.
Singers are most welcome to come to rehearsals to engage with beautiful repertoire and harmonies, and move into bedside singing when ready.
A gold coin donation at rehearsals to cover venue costs is gratefully received.
