To Remember Who We Are is Penelope Salinger’s 5th CD of original songs. She has long held the dream of compiling many of her inspirational songs, along with some of the songs she has written for the Threshold Choir, in order to cross-pollinate the audiences for her music.

The CD, which is dedicated to the work of the Threshold Choir and to its founder Kate Munger, includes six songs from the Threshold Choir repertoire:

  • “The Healing Water” (in several variations, with piano accompaniment)
  • “Dear One” (with Tibetan Singing Bowl in between iterations)
  • “Bless These Hands” (with two verses and a bridge, accompanied by guitar)
  • “May You Know How Much You Are Loved” (with harp accompaniment)
  • “All Is Well, All Shall Be Well” (guitar accompaniment, with a bridge)
  • “In This Moment, Peace Is Mine” (keyboard accompaniment; listed on the CD as “In the Arms of Love Divine”)

The other eight songs are:

  • “Love Is Who We Are”
  • “The Song of Your Soul’s Destiny”
  • “Three Strange Angels” (inspired by a poem by D. H. Lawrence)
  • “Simple Acts of Love”
  • “Shabbat Shalom”
  • “Light Without, Light Within”
  • “I’ve Brought You a Mirror” (an a cappella art song based on two Rumi poems)
  • “Whatever Love Asks”

The songs feature rich harmonies and instrumental accompaniment — including guitar, piano, accordion, Hammond B3 organ, violin, cello, mandolin, banjo, flute, clarinet, bass recorder, harp, percussion.

To Remember Who We Are is available for $20, plus shipping.
